It isnt true at all.

Ive heard each of these statements, or some variation thereof, on a irly consistent loop from clients and my readers at Pajama Productivity, for the last few years.

But heres the thing: that whole social-media-is-a-timesuck myth, like most myths, does have a kernel of truth at its center. SociDebunking the Social Media Timesuck Myth,al media can be a timesuck and a gaping black hole of a timesuck at that in a few specific situations.

The problem?

If you want to be productive, youve got to get rid of ______________ [insert name of social media platform].

Are my social media activities furthering my overall business goals and my specific goals for social media marketing?

Its such a waste of time!

I never get anything done because of all this social media marketing crap!
