There could be many good things that may come out of social networking like finding long lost friends, new ones, being in touch with friends and relatives from the other side of the globe, expanding your market reach if youre a businessman and many others. The bad side is, this seemingly limitless availability of every social networker puts him at such great risks. With these sites, child molesters and scam artists have become so much more empowered that they need not even send their victims emails. They simply have to connect through those media sites and their modus operandi would be in full force. Quite frankly, there is no limit to what they can do with these sites and this increases the risks of people actually lling for their tricks.

This means that online, you are your IP and every computer will know you as that IP. The problem is when you land in an unsecured site. This means that by showing your IP, a hacker out there might just ncy getting back to you for many reasons - to steal your private information such as your credit card number, usernames and passwords, or they can remotely access your computer and do whatever they want with it, including infecting other peoples computers with viruses and all sorts of online contaminants.
